| Speakers Series Our Speakers Series is free and open to the public and is held on the 3rd Monday of each month at 7:00-8:30 pm. Events are held virtually on Zoom at this time. They will also be held at the Collective location at 4844 Jackson Road, Suite 100, Ann Arbor, MI. See Map Empowering Women Artists (EWA) The EWA program is a collaboration between Huron River Art Collective, Women's Caucus for Art Michigan Chapter, and the Detroit Society of Women Painters and Sculptors. The program offers an invited speaker event every other month. On alternate months we will host a casual discussion and net working event. All events will be held on the second Tuesday of each month at 7pm. Together, we will support and empower women in their pursuit to gain equity in the arts, assure diversity, equity, and inclusion with a special interest in supporting women of color and all persons who identify as women. Community Engagement (CE) The CE program provides members with professional development opportunities in teaching, leadership, collaborative art making, and community based art programming. Projects will focus on promoting art appreciation in the community through education, exposure to art, and direct experience in art making. The program coordinator will assist member artists in developing and implementing projects in our surrounding communities by providing guidance and support in project management, funding, recruiting volunteers, and connecting with with other nonprofits in our communities. |
